I JUST RESERVED A VACATION RENTAL UNIT, WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?
You will be sent a Vacation Rental Agreement. You are required to review, sign and either e-mail or fax the agreement along with a deposit within 5 days of the booking. Full balance is due no later than 90 (ninety) days prior to check-in date. If booking or payment is within 30 (thirty) days of check-in date, the funds must be processed immediately via cashier’s check, traveler’s check, wire transfer, money order or credit card authorization. If either the initial deposit or the final payment is not received by the due date, the agency has the right to cancel the reservation.
WHAT ARE ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF PAYMENT?
We accept payment in the form of cash, bankers/cashiers/personal/travelers check, money orders, wire transfer and credit cards.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY?
Changes to Guest’s reservation made after Guest has executed this Agreement will incur a $100-$500 change fee. Reservations must be cancelled in writing 90 days prior to arrival date and will incur a $250.00 cancellation fee plus the non-refundable reservation fee. All cancellations must be made in writing (fax or email acceptable). For cancellations made less than 90 days of Guest’s arrival date, Guest’s full rent and taxes will be forfeited, unless dates can be re-booked, in which case Guest will receive a refund based on rent, tax and cleaning fees that are recovered, less 20% re-booking fee. Security Deposit, if paid by check, shall be returned, less applicable charges.
HOW DO WE CHECK-IN?
There are no formal check-in procedures, unless noted otherwise. After your reservation is paid in full, driving directions and the lock box code/door code will be emailed to you. We are happy to meet you at the house upon arrival to give you a home orientation and answer any questions you have.
WHAT TIME IS THE CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT?
Check in time in most of our rentals is 3:00 P.M. Check-out time is 10:00 A.M. Late checkouts are not acceptable unless prearranged.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE KITCHEN?
Most rentals include a full kitchen. The kitchen contains a standard stock of dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans. In addition there are small appliances such as a toaster, blender, microwave, & coffee maker.
ARE THERE LINENS PROVIDED?
A standard supply of bed and bath linens, including sheets and towels are provided. Please use the beach towels for outside use and remember to return them after car trips and beach visits. Please keep the bath towels in the unit.
IS THERE A WASHER AND DRYER?
A washer and dryer are available for your convenience. Please clean the lint filter after each use. Excessive laundry upon departure may result in additional charges.
WILL SOAP AND PAPER PRODUCTS BE PROVIDED?
We provide a start-up supply of soap and paper products, including hand soap, dishwasher soap, dish soap, laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and tissue paper, as applicable. Depending on the length of your stay and usage, you may need to replenish these by purchasing them at local stores.
IS BEACH-GEAR, SNORKEL GEAR OR BIKES PROVIDED AT THE KAUAI VACATION RENTALS?
Most of our homes do have beach gear. Many guests leave these items at the home and our cleaners keep them well stocked at the home. Most homes do not have snorkel gear or bikes at the homes. Please contact our Concierge for assistance with beach gear and bike rentals.
IS MAID SERVICE INCLUDED?
No. Maid Service is not included. We can pre-arrange maid service at an additional charge of $30/hr (2 hr minimum).
IS SMOKING ALLOWED?
No. All of our properties are “smoke-free.” Hawaii law also prohibits smoking within 20 feet of any public building. If you are a smoker, please smoke outside and be courteous of your neighbors. Certain condo properties have additional smoking restrictions. Please refer to the House Rules to determine if your property has additional restrictions.
WHERE DO I PUT THE TRASH?
If you are staying in a private home, trash is picked up curb side once a week. Please refer to the house manual for the scheduled trash day. If you are staying in a condo, please put the trash in the dumpsters located throughout the property, usually in the parking lots.
ARE CRIBS, ROLL-AWAYS, ETC. AVAILABLE AT THE RENTAL HOMES?
No, these supplies are not included unless specifically stated. We are more than happy to have anything you need delivered to your vacation home for an additional fee.
ARE WEDDINGS ACCEPTABLE ON VACATION RENTAL PROPERTIES?
Weddings are permitted at a few vacation homes. We are happy to assist you in finding the perfect home for you, as well as assist you with the planning of your wedding.
IS THERE CONCIERGE SERVICES AVAILABLE?
We provide the highest level of concierge service so that you and your guests have the most memorable and enjoyable vacation ever! Our services include private chef services, in-home massage, private yoga sessions, private surf lessons, and much more. WHEN WILL MY SECURITY DEPOSIT BE RETURNED?
The security deposit is normally returned 2 to 4 weeks after departure, unless there are damages.
