A lovely, truly relaxing place to stay on the north shore! I have to echo some of the previous review – this home is immediately welcoming, comfortable, and definitely ‘feels good’ from the moment you walk in. I honestly think the pictures don’t do it justice – one of the few times I’ve booked something online that turned out to be even better than the photos. The house is spacious and furnishings are beautiful and interesting. The split layout of bedrooms made it perfectly private for a couple and in-laws to stay without feeling like you were on top of each other. Super convenient access to an interesting (and, of course, beautiful – it’s Kauai!) stretch of beach, and we loved relaxing downstairs among the yard and wildlife – birds, butterflies, a chicken(!) – that came to visit. Try hunting for fallen coconuts around the edges of the yard, and keep an eye out for the adorable gecko guardians on the front lanai and in the garden. Thank you, thank you, for making our first trip to Kauai and Hawaii something amazing.

Perfect house for North Shore Kauai!

This house is a gem! Well appointed interior and exterior, with spacious living area, beautiful furnishings, fully equipped kitchen, large bathrooms, ocean views from living area, two bedrooms and lanai. Very clean and comfortable. The beds are great… wake up to birds singing and the gentle ocean sounds. I showered daily in the stone mosaic outdoor shower. A great experience! This house feels good the minute you drive up. It is fully landscaped and very private. The location is perfect with a quick, 3 minute walk to the beach (I had my coffee there each morning). A short walk to Tunnels beach for great snorkeling, and a short drive to Hanalei for shopping, dinner or drinks. Lots of great places in Hanalei. I cannot think of any problems I encountered at this beautiful, well cared for home. It was a perfect experience, and I would highly recommend this house to anyone. I will go back as soon as I can!

Habitat for Humanity Kauai Build-a-thon

Bali Hai Realty, Coldwell Banker Corporation, and the Kauai Board of Realtors support Habitat for Humanity. On August 4^th and 5^th, there is a hands-on Build-a-thon on Kauai to help and support the community that supports us. Kauai Habitat for Humanity offers two ways people can participate:

1. Volunteer your time with a weekend of building. You can participate one or both days.

For those of you that like to cycle – whether it’s off road mountain biking or road riding or just general beach cruising – Kauai is ideal because you can do it year-round. Here are a couple of events that you may enjoy.

Sunday, May 6th – Da Crack N Back. This is an off-road mountain bike race in Anahola, the east side of the island. You’ll race along cane roads and technical single track in the valleys and along the beach. There is novice, intermediate and expert divisions. Race starts at 9:am sharp. Pedal to the Meadow
